In this tournament format, all participants play the same number of matches and are ranked based on those results.
Even with a lot of teams, rankings are determined in at most 10 rounds. This makes it possible to hold large-scale tournaments in fewer rounds.
Unlike elimination-style tournaments, all participants play until the end.
Opponents are determined based on win-loss records. Whenever possible, teams with similar results are matched together.
The number of rounds for the Swiss-style format is determined with the following chart based on the number of participating teams.
